Aerial skills – Silks!
Ready to try something new? Come along on Friday 12th June at 7:15pm and find out what aerial silks are all about!
It will be a cosy session limited to 8 people, so book early to avoid disappointment! The studio has 4 anchor points, so 2 people per equipment. The session will last 75 minutes and will cost £15 per person. Suitable for all genders, so don’t be shy.
Aerial skills complement climbing very well and Beike, the studio owner, is excited about putting on a session for us. She said “I know aerials and climbing are a very lovely cross-over, and the strength and agility many climbers have are great for aerials too.“
What do I need to wear? What do I need to bring?
Silks can be a bit sharp, so leggings and armpit-covering tops are advised for this class. Many students wear layers, ideal for the warming-up/cooling down, and for the additional protection against friction. No need for any special equipment, but you may want to bring a water bottle and maybe a hand towel for hygenic purposes.
Where should I park?
The studio is located in a residential area, so we kindly ask that you avoid parking on the surrounding streets. Instead, please use the Sainsbury’s car park (entrance via Victor Street). It’s only a two-minute walk from the studio. All the classes are scheduled for either 60 or 75 minutes by design to fit comfortably within the car park’s 90-minute free parking limit. If you are cycling, you can park on the premises – the bikes won’t be visible from the street.
Where is the studio?
The studio is located in the rear of the garden which you can access using the gate of the driveway. Signs with the studio logo are on, so it should be easy to find.
