Board Games Social

After the success of the board game social in March, we are having another evening of board games, food and drink at Board in the City. Board in the City is Southampton’s first dedicated board game café. Their aim is to spread the love of gaming and have a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. With over 1000 games onsite, there should be plenty for us to choose from. We will be aiming to hire one of their private rooms so please sign up ASAP in order for us to gauge numbers on how many people we are expecting to attend, and for the venue to know how much space to provide us with.
The fee for this social will be £5 per person and with Board in the City being a community interest company, this means this fee helps with things like manpower, replenishing and expanding their games library, and hosting events. It also means they are passionate about their local community – in their first year the focus was education, with their second year focus being assisted living for the older generation. This year, they are focusing on mental wellbeing.
All their food and drinks are locally sourced where possible and are freshly made. They offer a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Please see their food menu here

All food will need to be pre-ordered prior to the event, so please keep an eye out for further information on how to do this over the coming weeks.
This event is open to friends and family as well as club members.
No equipment is required for this social, just bring your lovely selves along.
