Date(s) - 11/12/2015 - 13/12/2015
This event is now fully booked. However, a reserve list is now open so sign up if you want to be considered if and when spaces become available!
Join us for a fantastic weekend of festive fun and climbing in the Peak District!
We will stay at the very cosy Carlswark Cottage in Stoney Middleton, which is perfectly poised for access to the brilliant climbing and stunning walks available in the Peaks. Additionally (in case of severe weather) a number of great climbing walls are available in neighboring Sheffield. There will also be games, secret Santa and lots of festive cheer – this is the ideal way to get your Christmas season off to a great start!
Cost and food
This meet will cost you a mere £30 – which is excellent value as includes Christmas dinner on the Saturday night; you will not be disappointed! Chris’s 8 bird roast was something to behold last year, and if we ask very nicely I think we can persuade him to do it again 🙂
Vegetarians will of course be well catered for as well – please do state your preference when signing up to the event.
Breakfast will be provided each day in the form of porridge and nutella, as usual.
Do bring sufficient food for lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Friday night is usually a stop en-route, or there is a good fish and chip shop within walking distance of the hut if you prefer.
Carlswark Cottage has an indoor toilet, decent shower and bunk beds, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. There is a well equipped kitchen so no need for camping stoves this time 😉
This is a 419 mile round trip, costing around £60 in fuel in total (depending on the car), so £15 each based on four sharing.
Book early to avoid disappointment – this is likely to be a very popular (and absolutely brilliant!) meet 🙂 We hope you can make it!
