About
Cornwall! One of the most beautiful places in the UK best known for sandy beaches, super surf and tasty top class pasties… and some of the most amazing climbing in the UK too! Plenty of climbing to keep any climber interested but if you fancy a day off climbing some members go out for a surf or other coast sports.
The Crags
It’s absolutely gorgeous granite – oftentimes a lot more solid than the usual Swanage! There’s a wide range of grades, both overlooking the sea and a few inland.
Cornwall hosts a huge variety of grades with some of the most iconic ranging from Diff up into the E grades. Such as Commando Ridge, Bosigran, Sennen, Right Angle just to name drop a few. We are spoilt for choice in the area, for all levels of experience and skill. If you would like to have a look at the range of climbing available, please take a look at the UKC website.
The Club library has a small selection of Guidebooks available for loan here:
Being Mindful
For those new to outdoor climbing – We are given access to many crags by land owners, and are expected to treat the land with respect. Please be mindful of any litter (you will see many of us picking up and taking litter home, to help keep the area clear). There are no toilets once we are at the crag so please be prepared for this.
Accommodation
Although it is planned for a week away, many people may not be able to stay for the whole week and weekends due to other commitments and go for a shorter time. So do not worry if you can only come for some of it! Due to this reason we have decided for members to book individually so you only pay for the days you need.
Trevaylor has a range of pitches suitable for tents, campervans and vans with electric or non electric pitches. You can book online here.
