Day meet – Parthian Reading

Come and join us for a day of climbing at Parthian Climbing Reading Centre.

Parthian Climbing Reading Centre has 120 top rope and auto belay routes, in addition to 75 lead routes, and 100 boulder problems. This means there is plenty to climb for all abilities from beginners to advanced climbers. Just like Parthian Southampton, there is also a café and seating area as well as a shop. Day pass entry for adults is £14 (which is paid on arrival), and if you have membership at Parthian Climbing Southampton, then this can be used at Parthian Climbing Reading Centre also.

Although there is parking available it is limited, we would recommend organising lift shares to the centre in order to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Equipment required: This is the same as for any indoor climbing trip – indoor rope (the wall height is approx. 14m so a 35m rope should be adequate, the arch may require something a little longer depending on how the routes are set on it), shoes, harness and chalk bag. It may be worth bringing some layers in case it is chilly.
