Ladies meet – Dartmoor
Welcome to this years Ladies meet!
Climbing
Dartmoor is sprinkled with impressive Tor’s amongst it’s beautiful scenery. There are so many to choose from. And of course, where we are staying is not far from the popular DewerStone.
There is a range of options for different grades. It’s very much a trad area, but if you haven’t done trad before, don’t worry, you are very welcome. In each area there is such a range to choose from so if you are an experienced climber, there will be fun routes and people to pair up with. The same goes for the less experienced climbers. The aim is to get more girls out on the rock!
Here is some useful info on the area that hasn’t made it into the guide books yet: http://www.javu.co.uk/Climbing/Guides/
Accommodation
We will be staying at Powder Mills Bunkhouse, about 20-30 mins drive from the Dewer Stone and right in the heart of Dartmoor.
The bunkhouse name comes from the history of the building and the manufacture of gun power. It is now converted to a fully functional and cosy bunkhouse. It has a fully kitted kitchen, dining room and log burner with sofas in the living room.
