The next instalment of our ever-popular annual Ladies Meet. This meet will be in the Peak District with hut accommodation (more details below), costing £27 per person.

Please note – when booking a place on this meet you are committing to attending. We cannot offer refunds for meets where the Club has booked accommodation in advance as this leaves us out of pocket. If, after booking, you cannot attend for any reason you can recoup the cost by finding another SCC member to ‘sell’ your space to. If you do this or cannot attend, please let the committee know.

Venue

Peak District – The Peak District is home to some of the most iconic rock climbing locations in the UK, with gritstone edges such as Windgather Rocks, the Roaches, Stanage Edge, Curbar Edge and Derwent Edge offering world-class climbing routes. The climbing here mainly consists of single pitch trad routes, with the ability to put up top ropes on these routes. There are also a couple of sport quarries. Should the weather be terrible, we have the choice of a great climbing wall in Sheffield (Awesome Walls),  a rainy walk or pottering around some cute cafes.

Where?

Diversity & inclusivity

We see supporting and encouraging diversity and inclusivity within our club and the wider climbing community as a highly important topic, and are striving to do our part to make the world a more equitable place.

This event is part of that effort, which we hope contributes alongside bigger initiatives/events by others in the community (like the Womens Climbing Symposium and Womens Trad Festival) in making outdoor climbing more accessible and approachable to all.
