Annual General Meeting 2022

We are back at St Denys Boat Club again this year for our AGM (Priory Avenue, Southampton, SO17 2LT). The doors will open at 6pm, with the aim of starting by 6.30pm.

If you haven’t been before, this is pretty informal and sociable evening with free pizza (veggie and vegan pizza available, please indicate food preferences when booking – see below). Do please bring your own drinks and/or snacks.

For the first time there will be an opportunity to swap unwanted gear at our Outdoor Gear Exchange (for more info see here https://southamptonclimbingclub.org/events/outdoor-gear-sale-exchange/). If you are bringing things to exchange, please arrive early to organise your gear (6 – 6.15pm).

Prize nominations:

If you think someone has achieved something great this year, or you want to thank someone for something kind they have done for you, then this is your chance! Maybe they’ve helped carry you back to your car after an over-zealous bouldering session, or given you so many lifts to the wall you’ve lost count. Whatever it is, please drop us a line at sotonclimb@gmail.com and we’ll make sure they get a shout-out at the AGM, and maybe even win a fancy SCC mug! The prize categories are:

1) Climbing achievement award

3) Biggest whipper

4) Zero to hero

5) Open category (i.e. anything else!)

The winner of the survey prize draw will also be announced.

**N.B. parking can be tight so if you can lift share, cycle or get the train then that would be really helpful!
