Training: ADDITIONAL Crack Climbing Evening

Due to the session on 11th March selling out in a couple of hours we are running an identical on on the 12th March!

The course will be held at Calshot Activity centre where some crack climbs will be set up on top ropes. It’s a taster session to crack climbing where Vicky will introduce you to some basics techniques and give you a new set of skills to play with once we can get out and about again.

Prerequisite skills: You are expected to be a competent belayer in an indoor environment prior to this course and must be able to pass the indoor climbing door test with Calshot. You should also be comfortable top-roping to 6a.

Equipment: personal equipment: harness, belay device, comfy climbing shoes, crack gloves if you have them. Equipment can be provided if needed, upon request. Please dress warmly because Calshot can be cold in the evenings. Layers, layers, layers! And a thermos with a hot drink.

There are 6 spaces available. The price of the training is £15/person + Calshot entry fees (currently £11 with the SCC discount).

About your instructor: Vicky is a qualified RCI (Rock Climbing Instructor). She also teaches the movement training Alexander Technique; has climbed up to E6, included onsighted E4, and has a large experience of the Peak District cracks.

IMPORTANT: We reserve the right to cancel the course if the spaces don’t fill – you will be informed by email if that is the case. BOOKINGS CLOSE 9th March at 2pm!

Please note we have given priority to 3 people on the waitlist for the first crack workshop so this is why the event is showing as 3/6 spaces available. If the folk on the waitlist can’t go anymore we will open up the extra spaces.
