Maybe you have done some indoor climbing and leading and now you’re ready to go outside, but are not sure how does it all work? What do you need to know to stay safe? This course is a great place to start!
During this session you will learn how to safely clean top anchors of bolted sport climbs. There will be discussions and practice with the full range of bolts that you might encounter whilst sport climbing, so please bring your harness (and if you have it: 1 x 120cm sling, 2 x carabiner, belay with HMS carabiner. If you don’t have these items they will provided for you).
This course will be run by professional instructor Tim Miller at Boulder Shack.
If you are new to climbing outdoors or your skills are rusty and need refreshing, this course is a bargain at £4.00 to get you climbing safely in the great outdoors, starting with the Portland meet on 19th March.
**Prerequisite skills**
This session is suitable for anyone who feels they might be leading sport routes outside this year. Ideally you would have some previous experience with lead belaying, but this is not essential.
