TRAINING: Crack climbing course during Peak District meet

You are joining the Peak District meet early May and want to learn the fine crack techniques, this course is for you!

You need to be booked on the Peak District meet to be able to book this training: Early May Bank Holiday 2025 – Peak District – Southampton Climbing Club

This training event is intended for climbers conformable top roping 6a indoor. There will be no leading on the course, only a focus on crack techniques. The level of the training will depend on the need (from more accessible routes to some of the testpieces of the Peaks)

Meet at 9.30am for a wrap up at 4.30pm.

There are only 4 spaces available. The price of the training is £70/person.

Prerequisite skills: You are expected to be a competent top roper indoor prior to this course. A level of 6a would allow you to enjoy the course. Please get in touch if you have questions.

Location: will depend on conditions and level of participants.

Equipment: personal equipment: helmet, harness, belay device, comfy climbing shoes, lunch and drink, long trousers, long-sleeved shirts (that might get battered), gloves (Vicky has a few spare ones but at her size – get in touch if you have questions).

About your instructor: Vicky is a qualified RCI (Rock Climbing Instructor). She also teaches the movement training Alexander Technique; has climbed up to E6, included onsighted E4, and has a large experience of the Peak District cracks.
