Training: How to climb E3+
Advanced climbers, here is the course you have been waiting for: you lead in low Es, but Dinas Cromlech is calling and you must go.
Course content may cover things listed below, but it is entirely customazible to your needs:
- Advanced gear placements and how to assess placements efficiently
- Climbing pace and flow
- Coaching for controlled technique and static climbing movement
- Advanced belaying for traditional climbing
- Managing leader falls
- Rope and runner management
- Mind management and keeping control
- Projecting routes
While the date has been set to 26th June, it can be moved if it doesn’t suit you. Your instructor, Tim Miller, will contact you before hand to arrange the venue with you, as well as finding out what you would like to get out of this. We suggest you find someone you want to do this course with who is of similar ability, and then book with them. You can then find a mutually convenient date and arrange the training with Tim directly.
Prerequisite Skills: You have lead multiple E1 – E3
Equipment required: Harness, helmet, belay device, trad rack
A note on availability: Initially it is being advertised for 2 people, but if you are interested to do it and it’s booked up already, please do contact the club and we will arrange this with Tim.
Cancellation policy: If you can no longer attend this session, there are often a number of other people who would like to attend; please let the training secretary know that you can no longer attend the session, and we will be able to help you publicise this to others in the club.
