Training: Self Rescue Indoor Session
This indoor session will give you a chance to learn and practice self rescue skills in a safe environment with the guidance of a experienced instructor. You’ll learn how to safely escape your belay so you can raise the alarm, and practice hauling techniques to help rescue your climbing partner. Essential training for all climbers.
Prerequisites: Some trad climbing experience, either leading or seconding.
Topics covered:
- Escaping the system
- Assisted hoist
- Unassisted hoist
What to bring: Harness, screwgate karabiners, prussik loops (x2), belay device.
